My friend Beth had a go at making her first corset this week as she’s just started corset training and the one she bought doesn’t fit quite right. I gave her my express corsetry course to use about a week ago and she emailed me this morning to let me know how she’s getting on:
“I finished inserting the busk yesterday, it’s looking amazing, thank you so much for the ebooks. It’s not been as difficult as I imagined, I ordered all the bits off that website on Saturday and got them all yesterday. I did my mock up Monday and had to bring the top in a bit. Scaling the pattern to my size was the trickiest bit as I’ve never learnt how to make a corset pattern before but I could see from the mock up it’s fitting much better than the one I got in Camden already. Can I come round at the weekend to do the bias binding with you? My machine’s playing up. Thanks for all this, really loving corsetry now! Ta Beth x”
