I had a reader of my blog email in yesterday with a bit of a jeans-wear crisis. She had just started corset training and had quickly noticed a problem with her favourite pair of jeans.

Her corset and jeans didn’t meet properly and the small area of visible skin round her middle was pinching between the two when she sat down or bent over etc. This is a common problem with wearing jeans while corset training and fortunately it has a simple answer that involves changing one or the other.

You don’t need to stop wearing your jeans, just swap your style – the problem occurs with a low rise jeans/on the hips corset combo, you will need to either swap to high waisted jeans or an over the hips corset.

I checked with her and indeed this was the problem, she has resolved to make a corset in an over the hips style and in the meantime is off to the shops for some new denim!

If you’ve got questions about corset training or corset making then why not contact me at corsettraining@gmail.com? I look forward to hearing from you.
